Wimbledon tennis Chapionships!!

It is coming towards the end of the Wimbledon tennis championships, which have been excellent!! The weather has been appalling, so the players are lacking behind!

In the final for the women, I would enjoy seeing Justine Henin play, because she has never once won the Wimbledon championships! Thankfully, she has just beaten Serena Williams in the Quarter finals, which therefore means that the final will not be a Williams final!!

Unfortunately, Maria Sharapova was beaten by Venus Williams, of whom played like a monster!

The final for the men is definitely the best, where I would enjoy seeing Rafael Nadal play against Roger Federer, or Llyaton Hewitt!! Rafael Nadal was born in Majorca, which is the most beautiful country in the whole, wide, world!

First aid!

Today has been a brilliant day, as I have been at work placement! It has been a particularly difficult week this week, so it has been excellent to enjoy communicating with the elderly service users!! We even had a music quiz today, which was extremely difficult, as I do not have a good understanding of old music! (Out team won the music quiz)!!

Please pray for my brother Matthew, as he is suffering from a broken heart, and really needs encouragement at this time!

On Monday, I have a first aid course at my college, which I am looking forward to, but nervous at the same time!! We have to give CPR to a critically injured individual, (or dummy)!

After Monday has been, we have a food hygiene course, with an exam afterwards!! Our college tutors are trying to cram everything in, as it is almost the end of term! Horrahhhyyy!

A small, quiet library!

Yesterday, I started working at a library in a small, remote area of Ashford, known as Bockhanger!

I now work every Saturday, one time at Stanhope library, and the alternative weeks, I work at Bockhanger library!! I really enjoy both of them, but there is much more work to do at Stanhope library!

I feel it is a shame that not many individual's use the library at both Bockhanger, and Stanhope, as there are a good selection of books, and dvds on offer to them!!

We had a total of about 8 people come into the library yesterday, sometimes, we have even less! It was still fun though, as I enjoy rearranging the books, and straightening them!!

Happy Birthday Mum!

Today is my mum's birthday, which we celebrated yesterday with a Chinese meal!! We had the immediate family round, where we all indulged in chicken balls, prawn crackers, mushroom chop suey (my favourite), and many other delicious treats!!

My mum is taking it easy today, and trying not to do many chores! In the afternoon, we are all eating a piece of my mum's favourite cake, Angel food cake! Unfortunately, you cannot buy angel food cake mix in England, so all of our family and friends have never tried a piece!!

Sunday, was a brilliant day, as we booked tickets in the West end to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour dream coat, with Joseph played by Lee!!

Winslow day hospital!!

Today, I woke early, with the sound of rain crashing down on my window! Suddenly, that awful feeling came to my stomach, as I remembered I had to start a new work placement today for my course!

I am situated at a day hospital/centre for the elderly at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, which caters for elderly individual's, particularly with mental illnesses, such as: depression, and anxiety!!

I was extremely worried this morning, but once I arrived, I was welcomed by all the members of staff! Unlike other placements I have been on, the health professionals knew that they were having a student to join them!!

It was excellent, and I even managed to do some physiotherapy work with the elderly individual's, which was relaxing! It didn't feel as though I had done much work, because I mainly communicated with the elderly, whilst playing games with them!!

Lee: Day Dream Believer - Any Dream Will Do

Now my favourite Joseph has been voted off, I hope this man wins!! He is my mum's favourite Joseph!

Light up the barbie....

Yesterday, Louise came round in the afternoon to play badminton at our local sports centre, which was brilliant!! Louise is excellent at playing badminton, and has improved greatly!

My dad still managed to play badminton, even though his knee is in much pain! He is definitely the greatest badminton player!!

The barbecue was lit by my dad, and we all enjoyed munching on my favourite - sausages!! Dessert was delicious too, raspberries!

Louise and I watched Any Dream will do, which is a reality television show, where Andrew Lloyd Webber chooses a man to play Joseph in the West end of London!! I was extremely disappointed though, because my favourite was voted off!

Mad, Maidstone!

Today, my mum, my mum's friend, and I went to Maidstone to have out hair cut! We travel that far, because it used to be situated in Ashford, but then moved to Maidstone!!

It is extremely green, and the chairs have massagers on them, which feel comfortable!

Later in the day, we brought a rain mac for my trip to Canada, and it is bright pink, so I do not think I will become lost in the woods!!

I have now just finished a piece of my work, which is about policies and procedures in health and social care settings!

Driving lessons!!

I have been worrying about learning to drive for a long while now, but I am going to start learning in September, once I have had my holiday!!

There is a man at our church that is a driving instructor, and charges only £19 a lesson, which is extremely cheap, compared to the other driving schools! I am very excited, as I will it mean I do not have to catch the bus any longer, but anxious that I will kill someone!!

Questions!

My Auntie Rebecca recently sent me some questions to answer!

1. When did you first learn you could cook, and what are your favourite experiences with food. Why?

I don't think I have ever thought I could cook, but I do enjoy cooking, especially with my mum and Auntie Rebecca! When my Grandma was alive, I did a cooking badge with her many years ago, for my girl's group, known as Brownies!! We cooked sausage rolls, and malt bread, which my dad ate afterwards!
I enjoy eating food, particularly toad in the hole, or anything with sausages!!

2. How do you experience trains in your country? Do you hate them? If so, why, and if not, why not?

I catch the train every Monday to Wednesday to Folkestone, and I quite enjoy it! I always sit at the back of the train, where it is fairly quite, and I can enjoy the scenery!! Occasionally, I spot chewing gum, or crisps scattered on the floor, but they are not too messy, (in my opinion)!

3. What is your absolute favourite thing to do in your spare time, and why?

I enjoy sleeping, but the BEST thing of all is eating, especially sausages! Reading is excellent, as it is is peaceful, and I also love playing badminton!!

4. You have an extended family. Are they all mad?? What makes you give the answer you do?

My extended family are not all mad, but perhaps Auntie Rebecca (just joking)!! I think my family are caring, but I will not go into too much detail, because that would not be fair on them!

5. You probably love your mother very much...give me ten reasons why you do?

My mum is a superhero, she welcomes me home every day after college, my mum cooks, and cleans for me, she is a super listener, she cares about every detail, she packs me a delicious lunch for college, my mum is funny (and makes me laugh), she cares about others, she is the bestest thing since slice bread!!

Please help find Madeleine!!

Madeleine was 3 years old when she was abducted on Thursday May 3rd, from her bed in a family holiday, situated at Praia De Luz, Algarve, Portugal!
Please send this picture on to anyone who may know where Madeleine may be, whether in Europe, or beyond!! Someone will have some vital information that will lead to Madeleine's whereabouts!

Local celebrity!!

Near where I live, Chris Tarrant's daughter lives, known as Fia! Chris Tarrant is a television and radio presenter, of whom presents a gameshow, called Who Wants to be a Millionaire!!

Fia presents KMFM for Ashford, which is a local radio station, and often walks around the lake, situated just behind our home! I have seen her many times, but she is always talking on her mobile phone, so I haven't been able to say hello (or ask for her dad's autograph)!! She has a cute dog called Prince, and he always jumps up on me, when I see him!

On Thursday, I saw her and Prince walking around the lake, and after I had seen her I wrote her an email saying that I would gladly look after him at anytime, but I didn't expect to receive a reply!! Fia emailed me back, and wrote a kind email, saying she would like to see me around the lake!

I have always dreamed of meeting someone famous, so next time I see her, I am going to ask if I can go on Who Wants to be a Millionaire!!

A trip down memory lane!

My mum and I were recently looking through some old pictures, and this one is of my Auntie Rebecca and I on the day of my dedication!!

Social policy!

One of my assignments this term has been social welfare in Britian!! When I first was given the assignment, I thought it would be dreadful, particularly learning about the structure of the NHS, and how it has changed over the years!

I now find it quite interesting to learn about these things, and how the NHS is not treating individual's livng in this country with dignity and respect! My dad for example, needs a knee replacement drastically, as he can barely walk! He has need it for a long while, but the NHS has such a long waiting list, that he has to wait for months!! If he payed thousands of pounds privately, he could have a knee replacement tomorrow! Social Politics is extremely good to know about!

Almost finished!!

I am coming towards the end of the school year now, and I have only about six weeks left until the Summer term!

Many individual's have dropped out of the course, (we have less than half )! Our assignments are coming to the end, and we are just adding the finishing touches!!

We have a first aid course this month, which will be interesting, as I am extremely interested in reviving a person! After half-term, we will be going to a new worksetting, I may even be placed in an occupational therapy ward!!

This year, we had to take Maths, Communication, and IT, as part of our course! Next year, we have the choice of either A level Communication, or A level Maths!! I have decided to take A level Maths, because I really enjoy Maths (I think it's because I understand it now)!!

White water rafting!

I have just been told by my Auntie Rebecca that I will be going white water rafting in Canada!! I was extremely nervous when she first told me, but I have looked at some videos and pictures, and it looks quite fun, similar to a log flume! I am sure I will survive!

My dad really wants to come now, as he has always wanted to go white water rafting, and my brother told me that I would die, and he was rather I was going, than him!!

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At World's End Trailer

This film is definitely one of the best, and I can't wait to see it!

Cooking skills!

After the earthquake had hit Kent, we went to my Auntie Rebecca's house, where I was dropped off for the morning!!

The electricity was off, and my Auntie Rebecca was annoyed that we couldn't watch the television, or use the internet! The pictures on the walls had even tipped sideways from the tremor!

There were many sirens, and a huge police van came down the road! Auntie Rebecca took great delight in pulling back the curtains, so she could see what was happening! (She was extremely excited)!

It wasn't long before the electricity came back, and Auntie Rebecca wanted me to cook the lunch! I peeled the potatoes, and chopped them! Unfortunately, Auntie Rebecca wanted me to crack the egg open for the yorskire puddings!! BIG MISTAKE! I felt like such a dufus, as it missed the bowl, and went all over the floor! Auntie Rebecca made me crack the egg a second time, thankfully, it worked, and I didn't miss the bowl!!

Later on in the evening, I went to Louise's house for tea, where I ate a delicious sausage plaite!! I felt full afterwards, as I even got apple pie and ice cream!

Kent and Canterbury university!

Our college arranged a trip to Kent and Canterbury university yesterday, which was tiring, but good!

We arrived about 12.00, on a hot, and full coach, where we all had to go into a huge room! The room was packed full of people, and I could barely move an inch!! Universities from across the country were there (and Australia), to try and convince you to go to their University!
I managed to pick up a few leaflets, but I think I want to go to Canterbury, to study occupational therapy!! Alison does not want anyone to stay in Kent, as it will look good on her record if we travel far!

Buckingamshire university were there, and the lady snubbed her nose up at me, and told me that this wasn't suitable for me! I wasn't even thinking of going there, but I was only looking!! It is because I am not academically brilliant!

I finished that cell membrane question today, which is the one I posted on my blog last week! Horrahhhhyyyy!

Evangelism day!!

Today, I had youth church, which is particularly for young people in the church, and runs every other Sunday!!

Some helpers always prepare a beautiful breakfast for us all to eat, and today there was watermelon! Unfortunately, there were not many people there to eat it today, as I think indivdual's are studying for their exams coming up!!

We sang worship songs, and we were all given a musical instrument to play! Later on in the meeting, we all were split into four groups, where we were given a challenge to go to different places around Folkestone, Kent! Our group was sent to the library!!

After we had arrived at the destination, we had to open the piece of paper we had been given, which said that we had to try to ask individual's walking past a few questions! These included:-
What is your name?, Where do you live?, and Do you believe in Jesus Christ? If they answered yes to the last question, they recieved a chocolate bar!!

We asked many people, lots of whom said they didn't wan't to answer any questions! When we asked one lady, as soon as we mentioned Jesus, she told us to go away!! I think we touched a raw nerve in her heart!

I had a brilliant time anyway, and it was even better to know I had a wonderful dinner to come home to, roast pork, and popovers! My Auntie Rebecca, and Grandad came for dinner, where my Auntie Rebecca rested her ankle on my leg, and tried to make me smell her feet!!

The final term!

It is finally here, the last term of the school year!! Horrahyy!

I went back to college on Monday, where I was bombarded with work, work, and more work! Yesterday, I became so stressed, my blood was boling, and I became bright red!!

One of my teachers, Alison, is a huge stressor in my course, as she is always saying about how hard you have to work to reach anywhere, and that you have to achieve the top grades in everything!! I eventually calmed down by the evening, realising that all I have to do, is try my best!

One of the questions, which made me extremely stressed yesterday, was a science question! It was 'Explain factors that influence movement of molecules across cell membranes in relation to cell growth'.

The teacher, Alison did not explain the question well, so I asked her for some help!! She then told me to look in the books! That would be okay, if it were explained simply in the books! I have found a bit of information on it now though!!

Frappuchino!!

My Auntie Rebecca, mum, and I went to starbucks this morning, it was excellent! The queue was extremely long when we arrived, but we soon got served! I ordered a mango and passionfruit frappuchino, with a cinnamon bun!! It was the nicest cinnamon bun I have ever tastest!

We managed to find some comfortable chairs upstairs, where my Auntie was rearranging the furniture! Not long after we had sat down, a man and women came in, and Auntie Rebecca flicked her coffee at them, on her spoon!! This was because she looked young enough to be his daughter - yuk!

It was brilliant at starbucks, I have not had one for a very long time!! It was nice to talk, as well, especially for my mum and Auntie, who told me that I had to go swimming in Canada, whether I liked it, or not!!

I have been working most of the holidays on my social policy assignment, which has been difficult!! I have finally the finashed the task that is due in soon!

Auntie Rebecca dancing!

Here it is!

The lake at Hever Castle!

Here is one of the videos, taken at Hever!

A day at Hever!

I spent the day at Hever Castle yesterday, with my Auntie Rebecca, Grandad, Auntie Cilla, and Uncle Jeff! Hever Castle is a brilliant castle, definitely my favourite!!

We set off just before 9.30am, and drove through the beautiful countryside, such as Biddenden, and Goudhurst! The first stop we had was at Biddenden, and Auntie Rebecca couldn't stand the smell, as it smelt of pigs!!

At 11.00, we parked the car, and walked up to Hever Caslte, where I took a few pictures!! Auntie Rebecca brought everyone an ice cream, and mine was smarties, yumm! The loos were quite good, but Auntie Rebecca thought they were going to be car park loos!

We queued to get into the castle, where I took some videos with my camera!! It was such a wonderful day, that it wasn't too bad waiting in the line!

Once we arrived in the castle, we looked at each room! My favourite was the execution room, as it was extremlely interesting, but I enjoyed all of it, even the little toilet!

Next, we all walked back to the car, where we collected the picnic! Grandad wanted to sit by the lake, which I was pleased about, because it was so pretty!! The picnic was delicious! Auntie Rebecca had made sandwiches, and we had posh yoghurts, the nicest yoghurts I've ever tasted!

All of us laughed, as we saw these two girls, who were rather large, struggling to row a boat! They couldn''t move at all, and I think they had to be rescued!!

The watermaze was excellent, where I managed to get myself soaked, but Auntie Rebecca missed the water!! We got lost in the garden maze, but it was still fun!

I had a super day, especially seeing Auntie Rebecca dancing, which I will put on my blog later!!

A trip to Heathrow!

Yesterday morning, my Grandad, Dad, and I travelled up to Heathrow airport to collect my Auntie Rebecca after her long flight back to England, from Canada!! It was very busy on the roads, and my Dad had a bit of road rage, but I was too busy eating Grandad's hobnob biscuits to notice!

Once we arrived at Heathrow airport, terminal three, I managed to pick a good spot to wait for Auntie Rebecca, and she was out extremely quickly! I think I saw a rugby player, but it definitely wasn't Kyran Bracken!!

I pushed my Auntie's trolley back to the carpark, almost crashing into several cars on the way!
We stopped off at Clacket lane on the way home, where my Auntie was trying to find me an ice tea, but they did not sell it there!!

It was really good to see my Auntie Rebecca again, particularly her new hairstyle, and she brought me some presents!! One of the gifts was a bear, with a Canadian symbol on the foot, which I have now clipped onto my bag!

Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Top Trumps!

The other day, I brought some Jaqueline Wilson top trumps! Top trumps is one of the BEST games, and the person who manages to recieve all the cards, wins the game!! I brought it to play with my Auntie Rebecca for when we fly to Canada in July! (I know she hates games though)! My dad hates games as well, it must be the way they were brought up!!

I have decided I am going to change my blog now, particularly the pictures, as they look terrible, and I have changed a lot since then!

Yesterday, I was working at Ashford library, when I accidentally put £7.99 through the till twice! A senior lady, who doesn't like me much (I think it's because I'm the youngest) was not very nice, because of this! I just smiled sweetly at her!!

Easter time!

It's officially the Easter holidays, which means, I'm off for two weeks!!

I spent this morning working at a branch of Ashford library, a particularly rough part of Ashford, but the library is excellent! The only problem is, only a few customers came in all morning, most of them being young children!!

I have quite a lot of work to do over the Easter period, the worst one is social policy!! It is really difficult! I have taken out several books from the library to help me, which isn't too bad, apart from they are all in small print!

The city of London!!

As my birthday treat, my parents, cousin, and I spent the day in London, which was excellent, but extremely exhausting!

We left home at 9.30am, and drove to a town called Orpington, which is situated just outside of London! The train to Charing Cross was packed, and we had to stand the whole journey! Fortunately, it wasn't too far!!

Once we had arrived, we caught the Underground to South Kensington! Next, we walked up to the Natural History Museam, where we spent the majority of the day!!

It was free to enter the museam, but they caught you with the food prices, which were high! It was very interesting looking around the museam, and we even got to experience a real earthquake! It is very interactive there, plenty of things to touch, and press!!

At lunchtime, we ate a cheese and ham baguette, which was soft, and scrummy!

The next stop was Knightsbridge station, where we went to Harrods!! My dad was in a lot of pain, because he had an operation on his knee a few weeks ago, and it was tiring for him walking up all the underground steps!

At Harrods, there were protesters, protesting about fur! They had loud speakers, telling us we shouldn't go into Harrods, as they sell real fur!!

We managed to get lost in Harrods, and ended up looking at the watches and jewleery, worth thousads of pounds! There was a lot of perfumes on show, and I sprayed some on myself!! It wasn;t until afterwards that I realised it was men's cologne! 9they didn't make it clear on the box)!

The top picture is of my cousin Vivienne standing next to a Monkey at the Natural History Museam!
The one underneath is of the London eye, taken on the train!!

Simply the best!

Yesterday, was such a brilliant day, I think birthdays get better, as you grow older!!

I started off the day by going to college, which wasn't too bad! My teacher gave me a hug, which was strange! I told her that I wasn't a huggy person, but she still gave me one anyway!
Thankfully, no-one had done any party games, which they said they were going to do!!

In the afternoon, my Grandad picked me up from the train station! This was a real treat for me, as normally, I have to catch the bus and train! Once we arrived home, I had some of my birthday presents, because there wasn't time in the morning!! I had some excellent things! I got mainly money for my Canadian trip in the summer! My parents brought me some really nice trainers, and some other things (I won't bore you)!!

Later on, we had pizza hut at home, which as delicous! My brother Matthew and partner Terri came round, and I had their present, which was a lady jewellery stand! It is really pretty!
I had a wonderful day, and thank you Erin, Tim and Eithne for writing on my blog!!
For pudding, we had a profiterole dessert with candles, it was the BEST thing ever!
P.S. Kyran Bracken won Dancong on ice! Horrahhhh!

Birthday Month!

There has been a lot of birthdays this month, and a lot more to come!! Tuesday, it was my Grandad's birthday, and he was 85 years old, Thursday, it was my other Grandad's birthday, and he was 76 years old! The best birthday though is on Tuesday, mine!!! Horrahhhhh!!!!! I will be 17 years old, and next Saturday, I am going to London!

Tonight, it is the dancing on ice GRAND FINAL! I hope Kyran will win, I will let you know if he does! They have got to fly in tonight's programme, which Kyran has been finding difficult, as his posture isn't that great!

Dancing On Ice - 2007

Here it is Auntie Rebecca and Carol Ann!!

Dancing on ice (the semi final)!

Dancing on ice, the semi final was on television yesterday, after worrying that it wouldn't be on, as there has been an investigation into the votes (someone may have fixed them)!!
You'll be pleased to know Carol Ann, that Kyran is in the final, he got 4 6's last night for his dance, which is the highest score!!

This week has been excellent, as I got my first distinction, for effective communication! Wednedsay, I had the day off, but I was incredibly disappointed to find that my Auntie Rebecca and grandad had waited for me at the train station! I look for them every day, and the one day that I am not there, they look for me!! My dad would call it sod's law!

I will be put a video of Kyran on my blog, especially for you Carol Ann!!!

Pink smarties!

Sunday, we went to visit my Auntie Rebecca, because we will not see her for over four weeks now, as she is flying to Canada! Next time she goes though, she will be taking someone with her!!
As soon as we arrived, she sat us down with this delicious pink jello, which was one of the nicest desserts I have ever tasted! She insisted I had seconds, even though I should be careful, secretly I was pleased though!
Later on, she handed me a whole tube of pink smarties, which are scrummy! (I think she is trying to fatten me up)!! I will miss her a lot when she goes to Canada, especially her food!

Today, my dad had an operation on his knee! When we picked him up from the hospital, I played on his crutches, he had been given! He is recovering well though, only his knee looks like a balloon!!

Saturday, March 03, 2007

Tiring day!

This is a picture of Kyran Bracken!

Yesterday, was a very emotionally straining day, as I started at my new work placement! I can't really say what went on, but it was horrible! I would definitely not want any of my grand parents to go in there!! Only four more times left though!

Today, it is my favourite television programme, Dancing on ice, I really would like Kyran Bracken to win, who used to be a rugby player! The other night, I dreamt that Auntie Rebecca was going to be married to him!

A sermon!!

Sunday, was a very nervous day, as my girls group leaders asked if I would share my experience from soul sista in front of the whole youth church! I have never talked before, at least not without crying, but I did it! YES!!!!! I looked at the wall behind, and when I looked at the people's faces, they were smiling at me! Several people told me I had done well, which was extremely encouraging!

I have my new workplacement on Friday, at a residential home in Ashford, which looks very nice, but I am worried (like usual) that they will forget I am meant to be going!!

Know your Elements!

This song reminds me of my secondary school days! A teacher called Mr Pritchard used to always play this song, and I tried to sing along, but I can't!!

My auntie!

My Auntie Rebecca took me to college yesterday, as my mum was helping her with some cleaning! It was brilliant to not have to catch the bus and train!

Auntie Rebecca told me she wasn't going to do anything embarrassing, but as I got out of the car, she started waving to me wildely, telling me to have a good day! I wouldn't have minded if there hadn't been anyone around, but unfortunately, a girl was walking down the road! She was laughing her head off, and couldn't stop smiling!! I hid in my jacket, pretending that I was invisible! Thankfully, the girl didn't say anything, but I could tell what she was thinking!
She is still the best though!!

My Auntie told my mum I had something to write on my blog today, so that is why I am writing this!

Im off to Canada!!!

The tickets have now been booked for my first trip to Canada, on the 16th July to the 12th August, with my Auntie Rebecca!
We are flying with zoom, which goes direct to Winnipeg airport, and apparently the seats are extremely comfortable, with delicious snacks!! When my Auntie told me that she was booking the tickets, I was jumping up and down! I can't really believe it at the moment!

Yesterday, was my cousin's birthday, and she lives in quite a small village! My mum and I went over there with her birthday present, I think she liked it very much!

Today, I went back to college, after a brilliant half term! Even more people have left the course now! Soon, I think they'll only be about three people left!

An afternoon with Louise!

Yesterday afternoon, Louise came round my house at 3.30 pm!! It was brilliant!
The first thing was to tell Louise about the surprise that is coming for her, which she is really excited about! Gethin, the blue peter presenter is signing a picture for her! It should be hear any day now! Louise was jumping up and down when I told her!
Afterward, we played on the playstation, on the game, the Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe! It was excellent, but we got a little bit stuck on a level!

For dinner, we ate Pork chops, Roast Potatoes, Courgettes, Sweetcorn, and Gravy!! Pudding was definitely the best though, as we ate Strawberry, and Cream cheesecake!

Today, I had a super day at the library this morning! I have to work to save up for my trip to Canada! I almost have enough!
Lunch was even better, as my mum and I went to Marks and Spencer! I brought cold sausages, and these cheesey stars!

Soul Sista Weekend!!

Last weekend, I went to Ashburnum in East Sussex with my girl's group to a soul sista houseparty!! It was brilliant! My friend, Becky came as well, so it was really good to develop a closer friendship with her!

The two girl's group leaders took us there, Fiona and Sonia! Once we arrived at Ashburnum at about 6.30, on Friday evening, we went and dinner! We ate Jacket potato, with cheese, which was delicious! Two of the soul sista team came and spoke to Becky and I, one of them was Irish!! We spoke for a while, and she said she worked on a television show, and that television show is Blue Peter! I was very excited, especially as I watch Blue Peter (yes, I know I'm sad!) Guess what Louise, her best friend is Gethin, and I have a surprise for you!!!

I kept asking the lady questions the whole time we were there!

There were plenty of things to do there, a pamper corner, where I had a hand massage! There were two seminars on Saturday, and two meetings, which were excellent!! On Saturday evening, the holy spirit moved, and people were falling over, which was very emotional, but super!

The food was absolutley scrummy, especially the forest fruits ice cream we had! There were lots of cakes too, and fruit flan!!

It rained quite a lot, but we did manage to see some of the beautiful grounds! The bed's weren't too bad, apart from I was on the top bunk, and I kept banging my head on the ceiling! There was also damp above me!

I had a wonderful time, and would definitely go back!!
The picture on the top right is my friend Becky, I have known her since I was born!! She didn't want me to post the picture, but I did post the nice one!

Spare ribs!

It has been a busy week, so far!!

Sunday, was a briliant day, but frightening at the beginning of the day, as I was made to go up to the front of our church to be prayed for! At first, I sunk into the chair, pretending I wasn't there! I eventually went up though!
In the afternoon, my Auntie Rebecca and Grandad came for dinner, and they brought spare ribs, which we ate yesterday evening for dinner!! They were delicious, especially the tangy, barbeque sauce they came in!! My Auntie Rebecca told me about her week, and about the duck she ate! Later on, we watched the dvd of Eithne's first Christmas, as my Auntie Rebecca hadn't seen it, it was really funny! We didn't manage to watch it all though, as grandad feel asleep!!

Another person has dropped out of my course!! There are not many of us left now!!

Every day, as I walk to the college, I look for Auntie Rebecca, or grandad passing by, so far, I haven't seen them!!

The elderly!

Yesterday, I was at the eldercare centre, for my workplacement! I am really enjoying it, and love listening to the elderly talk about their lives! There is one lady called Terri, who is super! She is almost 90 years old, and finds it difficult to walk, but she always takes my hand to help her! A man named Joe gave me £5 yesterday, and told me to buy an ice cream!! I had to check that that was alright though! Guess where my £5 is going to go? Not far to go!
Next week is my last week at the eldercare centre, and then I have only one more workplacement, it all finishes at Easter, which is early this year!

Today for lunch, I had a sausage and cheese pasty thing, it was delicious!!

Dreams!

I seem to dream every night! Monday night, I dreamt about Louise, that we were in sainsbury's supermarket together, and she was chasing someone! Tuesday night, I dreamt that I was running after Macauly Culkin (from home alone) in bluewater shopping centre!
I dream about Canada a lot, but that is understandable, as I think about it a lot!!

There was a huge argument at college today between two girls! All they seem to do is talk about each other behind their backs, I hate that!!!!

I am looking forward to half term, as I will have a week off!

A word!

Today, it was brilliant at youth church! We had fruit salad for breakfast, and Ashford and New Romney church came up to join us! It felt odd to have my old church there, but I have moved on, and extremely pleased!
We had to be in groups, to see if the holy spirit gave us a word for someone! I was given a word for the first time, that ws relavant to my daily life! I was really moved today!

I am looking forward to half term soon, as it will be a nice break! On the 9th of February to the 11th February, I am going to soul sista, which is a thing especially for girls! Apparently the roast dinners are delicious!

Aunite Rebecca, I hope you feel better soon, and well enough to go the gym and costa coffee!!

He's behind you!!

I am extremely pleased at the moment, because yesterday I sold my doll's house shop for £50, to raise money for my trip to Canada! It is no far to go now!!
The lady asked if she could have it for £40, but we stuck it out until the end, as we knew someone else was interested in it!

Today, I was at my work placement, which I am having a super time at! I had to do some chair excercises today, which was very tiring - NOT!!

This evening, I am going to the pantomime! It is brilliant, and we go every year! I especially go for the ice cream, as it's my favourite!

Stand up for what you believe in!!

Today has been a difficult day, but it was much better towards the end!!
There was only six people in college today, including me! One of the girls is not that nice, and she wouldn't stop talking about 'you know what'!! She was laughing at me, because I am different! It made me feel upset, but then I thought she is probably just insecure! I think it is good to stand up for what you believe in, and not follow everything else, but it take a lot of courage to do that!

The good part of the day was that I went to the doctors today, and managed to get something new for my spots! I have tried nearly everything on the market, and nothing seems to work!!

Miss Potter trailer

If you have the chance to see this film, you should!! It is brilliant! What could be better than sitting with your favourite Auntie and grandad, eating mint choclate chip ice cream, and watching a super film!

Madelines!!!

Yesterday, I got given some madelines from my Auntie Rebecca, they're the best!!! They taste a bit like buns, but even nicer!! When I arrived home last night, I couldn't resist eating one!
At the eldercare centre yesterday, I got to go on the eldercare bus, to pick up all the people! I even had to use the lift!! Doreen, the grumpy lady hit me with her walking frame yesterday! I am having a super time there though, and one of the old ladies said I was her favourite yesterday, which I felt extremely pleased about!!
My dad had to open a dead body up yesterday, who's bowell had burst! Unfortunately, when he opened the body up, poo went absolutley everywhere, all over my dad mainly!
I am going to the cinema today, to see miss potter, with my granda and Auntie Rebecca, and I am really looking forward to it!!

The dreaded parents evening!!

Well, yesterday went really well!! I had a parents evening, and I wasn't looking forward to it! We had to wait for ages to see the teachers, as people kept pushing in, but it wasn't too bad! I was worried about what Alison would say about me, but I think she liked my dad, so she is nice to me now!! They said I was too quiet, and needed to speak up more, but I get that comment every parents evening!!

Before, parents evening started, I walked to the Maf office, where my grandad was! It was brilliant! I even got a slice of cake, and a glass of milk!!

Once we had finished parents evening, it was fairly late, so we had a takeaway burger king! I have been put off kfc for life now, as someone in my church found a chicken head in their chicken, and they could even make out the eyes!!!

My favourite television programme starts on Saturday, Dancing on Ice!! I can't wait until I am on that programme - Not!!! Hopefully, after the summer I will be able to move on the ice, if my cousin Tim teaches me in Canada!!

Eldercare centre!!!

I have started my second work placement at the eldercare centre in Ashford!! I found it really interesting, apart from this moany, old lady called Doreen! All she did was boast about how great she was at everything, and moan every minute!! There were some really nice people too, who made me feel very welcome!

I dreamt a dream the other night about my second cousin Eithne, and that she was sitting on Erin's lap talking at the age she is now!! Not only was she talking, but she was using really intellectual words! Canada was also in the garage!!

I also dreamt another dream about my Auntie Rebecca and I, that we were flying to Canada, but I hadn't packed anything, and became really worried about it!!! I can't wait to see you soon Auntie Rebecca, I miss you!

Today, I had a brilliant day, as my grandad came over for dinner! He is really fun, and cares about you!!

Btec National Diploma in Health Studies!

I am going to be writing about my course, as asked by Carol-Ann!!

I started the course in September, and it is a very busy course, five people have dropped out already, because they cannot handle the amount of work set!
It is brilliant though, and I seem to learn quite a lot every day!! I have to catch the bus and train every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Thursday is my study day, and Friday, I am in a work placement setting!

My course is set into sections, some about Anatomy and Physiology, which is good because my dad can help me sometimes! There is a communication unt, research unit, work placement unit, and many other units!!

This course is worth three A levels, and I am hoping to become an Assitant Physiotherapist at the end of it! I would really like to work at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, which is a children's hospital! When I am older, I don't really want to stay in this country, but move abroad!!

Tuesday, January 09, 2007

Another day has passed!!

Another day has passed, which is a day towards the summer!!! Today, we had a surprise I.T exam, and I became a little bit worried, but I passed!! Horrahhhhhyyyy!

I have been assigned my next workplacement, which is a very short one! It is at the Eldercare centre, which I am quite looking forward to, apart from I am always anxious that I will make a mistake!

At college, I am always dreaming about certain things, mainly krispy kreme doughnuts, and travelling!! I am looking forward to March, because I will be having a krispy kreme doughnut, at Harrods!!

A merit!

Yesterday, I was over the moon, because there was a piece of science work I had to add to 4 times for Alison my teacher! Yesterday, I finally recieved a merit, I am very thankful to everyone who prayed for that situation, and am extremely happy! Last year, Alison didn't think that I could cope with all the work on the course, but now, she is praising me up a bit more!

I have got a lot of work to do before July, as I have to try and raise £300! Hopefully, the library will take me on a bit more, I am going to write a letter! I have only been called in twice since september!

Crawley!

We spent new year at my mum's friends house in Crawley, it was brilliant!! One of my Christmas presents was a gift voucher for Virgin, so I was very excited, especially as it was not Hmv! They have a big shoping centre in Crawley, not as big as Bluewater, but it is cool! I went straight to Virgin to buy Keeping up appearances series 5, and it was almost half the price of the one in Hmv! I can't wait to watch it!!

We had lamb for lunch, and an excellent tea, with sausages (my favourite)!

Today, I went back to college, which I was not looking forward to! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though! Hardly anyone turned up, and the bus was empty this morning!!

I have counted that there are 16 college days left until half term, and 72 days college days until the summer! Roll on the summer!!!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!
Thursday, was my Auntie Rebecca's birthday, and we went to the Pilot in Dungeness, I had sausages!! My auntie invited some friends from her church, and they were very friendly!

Today, I managed to get extremely wet, as it was raining when my mum and I were in town! I looked like a drowned rat!
I was cheesed off with HMV today, because Keeping up appearances series 5 came out on dvd on boxing day, and I have been waiting for it for over 2 years! On the website it said it was only £16.99, but when I went in there today, it was £24.99! I asked one of the staff why it was that price, and she said it was because it was the only one in the shop!

Please, somebody write a comment, especially you Louise, as I know you go on here! I would be very happy if you did!!

Brilliant boxing day!

Yesterday, it was Christmas day, and it was excellent! One of the BEST!!
My Grandad, and Dorothy came over, and behaved themselves, so that was even better! I was extremely pleased with all my presents: - a new watch, slippers, books, and some other things! From Louise, I was given a beautiful butterfly purse, with £1 inside, and a bath fizzer (my favourite)! Thank you very much Louise!!
I especially enjoyed Christmas dinner, which was delicious, especially the bread sauce, and sausages!!!

Today, my Grandad is over, and it is really super to see him!! I got given money from him, which is brilliant!!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to seeing my Auntie Rebecca, as she is the greatest, and I miss her!!

Almost there!

Wednesday, my cousin Vivi came over, and we baked christmas biscuits!! I had a super time with her, we even played Authors, the BEST game in the whole, wide world! In the afternoon, I suggested going for a run around the lake, but she didn't sound too keen, instead we danced around to music!

Thursday afternoon, I went to Louise's new house for the first time, which was excellent! I was given her Christmas present, which I can't wait to see, as it came in a really posh bag from Bluewater! For dinner, we ate toad in the hole, potato croquettes, and vegetables, which were delicious, especially the chocolate trifle for pudding!!!

On the news yesterday, they showed Bluewater shopping centre, and even showed the ice rink, which brought back a lot of cool memories!! I even forget to mention that I saw Terry Wogan, and waved to him!!

It is not long until Christmas now, my Auntie Rebecca has flown to Holland, and when she arrives back, it is her birthday, and we are going to the pilot in Dungeness!!

The great big hill!

Yesterday was such a brilliant day, but sad at the end!! I was invited up to Folkestone by my cousins Erin and Tim, which was a nice surprise!

I arrived at Folkestone Central train station at 11.00, where I bumped into my old best friend Stephanie, who I haden't seen for over 5 years! It felt so weird to see her again, and I was so pleased to see Tim wave to me from the car!! I jumped in the car as quickly as possible!
Once we arrived at the house, Tim and I played What together, and I won, but so did he!!!!
When my other cousins Kirsty and Lewis arrived, along with my Aunite Priscilla, we went to Sainsbury's to get some shopping for the big Christmas meal! Tim brought lots of sweets, including Dolly Mixtures, which you can't buy in Canada!

At lunchtime, we ate in the Sainsbury's cafe, and Erin had a huge fried breakfast, with fries! Tim and I were discussing Canada, because I am flying over there in July, or August for the first time!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!

After shopping, Tim found a £1 coin on the car park floor, and gave it to my Auntie Priscilla!! We then picked up Kirsty from home, and went into town, which was fun!! Tim brought lots of horrible history, and science books to take home with him!! We then popped into he MAF office, where my Grandad was! I have never been in there before, and Tim kept shutting the doors onto me!!

Next, we went back home to change into our dirty clothes to climb the hill!! I was a bit worried at first, as I thought I would probably collapse! I fell over a few times, but the best bit of all was getting a piggy back ride from Tim! I thought I would be too heavy for him, but thankfully I wasn't! I did manage to scarpe mud down his PANTS though!! It was the best time walking, I think I have ever had!

When we came home, we took off our shoes, which were covered in mud! I was told by Auntie Rebecca that I was not allowed in the kitchen, but I did try to sneak in anyway!
We all played Cluedo afterward, and Tim won! It is an excellent game!! Then we played Scrabble, which I am useless at, and Erin joined in this game, and usually she wins! Tim and I joined together to play, and we won!!! We managed to use all of our letters to create the word falcon, which got us 84 points!

After the game playing, my brothers, and Terri arrived for Christmas dinner, which was delicious! There was bread sauce, my favourite, and this really yummy marshmellow and pineapple thing, which I loved!! We all popped our crackers, and ate! After eating, we had some presents, which were super! My grandad opened his presents, and he got a portable dvd player, from all the family, and a realy cool bag from Erin and Tim!!
I got a pure gold necklace, which I really love! I will wear it all the time!

At the end of the day, I was a bit sad, as it was time to say goodbye!! I gave Eithne a goodbye kiss and smile, which I hope she liked! I even gave Tim a hug! I feel a bit empty at the moment, but at least I have some incredible memories! Thank you Auntie Rebecca for cooking an excellent meal, and thank you Erin, Tim, and Eithne for making this last week the best!! I can't wait until the summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A skating experience!!

Today, was one of the best days of my life, as I went ice skating at Bluewter with Tim, my cousin's husband! He was brilliant at ice skating, as he is a hockey player in Canada, but I was useless, as usual, but I only fell over once at the end!! Tim took me for rides, but I was afraid to let go of the edge, I think I made some progress, but I got my PANTS (trousers) wet, so it looked as though I had wet myself! Erin took some pictures of us, which will probably turn out funny! I kept holding everyone up! I wish I could learn how to skate really well, as it is excellent!! If only Tim and Erin were staying in England for a few more weeks!! Thank you for taking me, I know I probably cramped your style!! It was the BEST fun I have had in a long time!!!!

I brought a few presents in Bluewater, and had a doughnut at Krispy Kreme, which was yummy! Eithnie got a bit tired, but I think she enjoyed herself! Auntie Rebecca is the shopping queen, so she definitely enjoyed herself!!

My second cousin!

These are a few pictures of my second cousin, Eithnie!
The above picture is my cousin Eithnie just being sick down my mum's back!!
The other day, Eithnie came for a visit, and as I was feeding her, there was a huge explosion, vibrating through my lap!
It's not long until Christmas now, I finished college today! Yippeeee!!!

My mum is home!!

My mum arrived back in England on Friday evening from Romania, and she had a brilliant time! She wants to go back as soon as possible, as she enjoyed it so much! She saw some sad sights, and had some strange experiences, but overall it was the best! My mum is a celebrity now, as Kaddy the weather presenter was out in Romania, staying in a posh hotel! Kaddy bumped into the team, and filmed them about what they were doing, and it was shown on the bbc!!

I am looking forward to Christmas now, as it is not long to go! My auntie Rebecca is going to prepare a Christmas meal for us all on the 18th, which I am dreaming about!
There are only three days left to go at college!! YES!!!!!!!!!

Tres bien!

Yesterday, my dad, my brother, one of my aunts, and I went to France on a day trip! We went quite early on the channel tunnel, it was very quick!

Once we arrived in France, we drove straight to the Au Chan, which is a HUGE supermarket, I have never seen such a big supermaket! Firstly, we stopped off at a little cafe, and I ordered in French, well only my drink!!
My auntie and I took a trolley from outside with her special au chan trolley coin, and started shopping! My favourite section was definitely the cheese, I have never seen so many cheeses in my life! We even got to taste a few of them! I also brought some sausages, big surprise there!!!! YUM!!! My auntie brought many items, including a snowman stocking for my baby second cousin, Eithnie!

Next, we went to Cite Europe in Calais! They were setting up a big snow slide there, where people could slide down!
We stopped off at a french restaurant, and I ate an American burger, with french fries, after much deciding!! It was the nicest burger I have ever tasted, far nicer than English burgers!!
My brother Daniel brought a snow hat, with ears!

At the end of the day, we went on the channel tunnel back home, but it took a while, as a car broke down! My dad was not happy!!

Once home, I had one of my aunite's buns that she brought from the Au Chan, they were delicious! For tea, I had some french bread and cheese, which was scrummy!!!

Sorry for being a groaner!!

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

My mum has gone to Romania!

Today, at 5.00 this morning, my mum left for heathrow airport to fly off to Romania!!
Everything went smoothly with the flight, but she was extremely nervous, as she has never been away without us before! She is at Romania right now and I am counting the days until she comes home!!

My dad and I have been invited to a meal on sunday, so that will keep him from cooking, although he is a good cook!!

There is a lot of illness around at the moment, hardly anyone was at college yesterday, or today, because of the illness!

Tuesday, November 14, 2006

Strictly come dancing!

Strictly come dancing was on television the other day and it was excellent! Mark and Karen are my favourites to win, as they dance really well! I feel sorry for Peter Shemichael, as he is so big, but at least he puts in the effort!

The X factor isn't that good this year, because none of them really stand out!

I am counting down the days unitl Christmas now and I am really excited! I love eating Christmas food! My mum is preparing to go to Romania next week with the church and I will miss her!
We are planning to go to London to see the Christmas lights and hopefully get some krispy kreme doughnuts in Harrods!! YUM!!

Today, I have a day off, as it is open day at South Kent College, it only seems like yesterday that I was going to look around the college, time flies by!!

Saturday, November 04, 2006

My new blog!!

I've now got a new beta blog, thanks to auntie Rebecca and her friend Carol Ann!! Thank you very much, it needed a new makeover!

Yesterday, Louise came over, or Louise the disease, as my dad would say!! It was very much fun! We went to the outlet centre and I got a new coat from the gap, which is very cosy!
For dinner, we had mini toad in the holes and chips from the fish and chips shop! Profiteroles and hot chocolate sauce was on the menu for dessert!!

Today, there are a lot of firework displays, because it is bonfire night tomorrow! My brother Matthew is having a bonfire party tonight, with hot dogs! We are not going, as he doesn't really want us there! My mum is going to cook hot dogs for dinner tonight instead!! YES!!!!

Tomorrow, my best auntie is coming for dinner!

I was on the bluewater site today and I realised that they are having an ice rink for the winter! I am so excited, because the ice rink at Gillingham is really old and dirty!!
